On this page

A Topic is one article worth writing, described precisely enough that drafting it does not require another decision.

Where Topics come from

Content Directions

The main source. Each Direction produces Topics in its own lane, sized by its share of the blog.

Competitor Blog Watch

Signals from competitor blogs can be triaged into Topics.

You

Add a Topic by hand whenever you know what should be written.

Autopilot refill

In Full mode a Project can be allowed to replenish its own Topic supply.

What a Topic carries

A title and slug suggestion, a target keyword and secondary keywords, an outline, the search intent, a funnel stage, a priority, an estimated difficulty, and the product tie in that keeps the article relevant to what you sell.

Approving

Approval is the gate. Nothing is drafted against a Topic until it is approved, and approving one is a commitment that this article should exist.

Rejecting is not waste. It is the signal that shapes what gets suggested next.

Duplicates

Blogged holds identity locks on Topics so the same article is not written twice under two slightly different titles. If a Topic looks like one you already have, that is usually why it was not suggested again.

Where they run out

Topics are metered per Project, like posts and images, and a Project that has used its topic allowance stops generating new ones.

How it comes back depends on the Project. A paid plan's topic allowance resets when the billing period rolls over. A Free Project's 40 Topics are a one-time lifetime total that never resets, so upgrading is what lifts it. See usage and limits.
