On this page

Analytics in Blogged comes from four places, and knowing which is which saves a lot of confusion about why two numbers disagree.

Google Search Console

What Google shows and what people clicked. Requires connecting Search Console. Lagging by a day or two, and authoritative for search.

First party events on your blog

Page views, CTA views and clicks, lead submissions and subscriptions, recorded by Blogged on your own site. Immediate.

Reader input

Feedback readers leave, and what they type into your blog's search box.

Your own tags

Whatever you configured under tracking, reported in those tools rather than here.

Why Search Console and page views disagree

They measure different things. Search Console counts what Google recorded for search results; first party page views count everyone who loaded the page, including readers who arrived from a link, a newsletter or an AI answer. Neither is wrong.

Scope

Every number is scoped to the active Project. There is no combined view across Projects, because a combined number is rarely the one anybody needs to act on.
